This Privacy Policy explains how HupWorks (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our app and website.
1. Who we are
HupWorks is operated from the Netherlands. For privacy questions, contact support@hup-works.nl.
2. Information we collect
- Account and profile: name, email, phone, role (client/freelancer), profile details
- Activity: jobs, messages, orders, reviews, attendance records
- Device and usage: app version, device type, approximate diagnostics
- Payments if enabled are processed by third-party providers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Camera (optional): used for QR attendance when you choose to scan
3. How we use information
We use data to run accounts, matching, messaging, orders, attendance, safety, and service communications. We do not sell personal data.
4. Sharing
- Other users: public profile fields, messages you send, job/order details needed to work together
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, payments (as applicable)
- Legal, safety, and fraud prevention when required
5. Retention
We keep information while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and dispute purposes. After deletion requests, we remove or anonymize data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where law requires retention.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile details in the app, contact support to access or correct data, and request deletion (see our Account deletion page). Depending on your region, additional rights may apply.
7. Children
HupWorks is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Changes
We may update this page. The “Last updated” date will change, and we may notify you in-app for material updates.
