Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the HupWorks app and website. By creating an account or using HupWorks, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

If you do not agree, do not use HupWorks.

2. What HupWorks is

HupWorks is a marketplace platform that helps clients connect with freelancers and local workers. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we facilitate connections and tools. We are not the employer of freelancers, and we are not a party to the work agreement between users.

3. Accounts

Provide accurate information, keep one account per person/business unless we allow otherwise, and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Roles

Clients post work, hire, and manage orders responsibly. Freelancers and workers present skills accurately and deliver agreed work. Both sides must communicate in good faith.

5. Jobs, orders and delivery

Job posts must be lawful and clear. Users should complete work as agreed, use the order status flow honestly, and handle cancellations fairly. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Payments

In-app payments may not be fully live yet. When enabled, charges, fees, refunds, and payouts will be handled according to in-app notices and third-party payment processors. Until then, payment arrangements between users are their own responsibility unless stated otherwise.

7. Attendance and QR

For on-site jobs, attendance tools (including QR clock in and out or self-report) must be used honestly. Misuse, spoofing, or fraud is prohibited and may lead to suspension.

8. User content

You keep ownership of content you submit (jobs, messages, reviews, profile). You grant HupWorks a license to host, display, and process that content to operate the service. Do not post illegal, abusive, or infringing material.

9. Prohibited use

No spam, scams, harassment, fake profiles, unauthorized scraping, or attempts to disrupt the platform.

10. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on real experience. Fake or manipulative reviews are not allowed.

11. Disclaimers

HupWorks is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that every hire or job will succeed. Disputes between users should primarily be resolved between those users; we may help with tools or moderation at our discretion.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HupWorks and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from user-to-user arrangements. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

13. Termination

You may stop using HupWorks at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or for safety/legal reasons.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
